BRIAN STEACY JOINS IMAGINON AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF SALES
FOR ImOn.comTV INTERNET TELEVISION PRODUCT
Appointment of HealthCentral.com and Sun Microsystems,
Inc. veteran is one of several moves by ImaginOn to strengthen
its sales and marketing infrastructure as it prepares
to introduce its ImOn.comTV Internet TV product at NAB
2000.
SAN
CARLOS, CALIFORNIA, February 15, 2000
Moving to strengthen its sales and marketing infrastructure
in preparation for the upcoming NAB 2000 launch of its ImOn.comTV
Internet TV product, ImaginOn, Inc. (NASDAQ: IMON), today
announced that Brian Steacy has joined the Company as Executive
Director of Sales. Effective immediately, the HealthCentral.com
and Sun Microsystems sales veteran assumes responsibility
for the development and implementation of sales programs to
support the ImOn.comTV product in all of its target channels.
In this capacity he reports directly to ImaginOn Vice President
of Business Development Sue Ann von Kaeppler.
"Brian's
appointment represents a major step forward in the completion
of the Company's core sales and marketing department," von
Kaeppler said today. "He brings to ImaginOn 12 years of
sales, sales management, product management, engineering,
and systems analysis expertise that will directly benefit
the ImOn.comTV product introduction and ongoing sales programs."
Brian
Steacy comes to ImaginOn from HealthCentral.com, Emeryville,
California, where, for the last two years, he served as
Director of Sales & Marketing. He played an instrumental
role in managing the Company's transition from selling consulting
services to selling products. In 1999 he tripled the Company's
sales. Prior to this, he served from 1987 until 1998 at
Sun Microsystems, Inc., Mountain View, California, where
he held a number of positions, including Sales Representative,
Product Manager, and Technical Support Manager.
"I am
tremendously excited to join ImaginOn at this critically
important crossroads in the Company's history," Steacy said
today. "I look forward to helping ImaginOn realize its short
and long-term sales objectives while also building a strategically
focused, results oriented sales team that understands how
to present the profit potential inherent in the turnkey
ImOn.comTV Internet TV station in a box. In fact, I expect
to bring on two additional ImOn.comTV Account Executives
before the NAB 2000 trade show in Las Vegas."
Brian
Steacy's appointment is one of several senior management
appointments announced by ImaginOn over the last several
months. In October 1999 Sue Ann von Kaeppler joined the
Company as Vice President of Business Development. In December
1999 James Newcomb was appointed Chief Financial Officer.
More recently still, ImaginOn has added a marketing assistant
and Web designer to its marketing department and is now
in the process of hiring four new engineers.
